We are hiring for Assistant Manager – General Takaful Technical @ Malaysian Takaful Association
Job Responsibilities
General Takaful Technical
· Support the implementation and execution of initiatives related to General Takaful business, industry development, and technical matters.
· Coordinate and manage technical projects, working groups, and industry committees involving General Takaful operators and key stakeholders.
· Conduct research, gather industry data, analyse market trends, and prepare reports, papers, and recommendations to support industry initiatives.
· Liaise with Takaful operators, regulators, government agencies, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders on matters relating to General Takaful.
· Assist in developing industry guidelines, frameworks, best practices, and technical papers to enhance the General Takaful ecosystem.
· Monitor regulatory developments, emerging risks, and market trends affecting the General Takaful industry and provide updates to members.
Committee and Stakeholder Management
· Serve as the secretariat for industry committees and working groups.
· Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, reports, presentations, minutes of meetings, and follow-up action items in a timely manner.
· Facilitate engagement and collaboration among member companies, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
· Support the planning and execution of agreed industry initiatives, projects, and action plans..
Other Related Responsibilities:
· Support Project Management Office (PMO) functions and strategic initiatives undertaken by MTA.
· Assist in organising conferences, seminars, workshops, and industry engagement programmes managed by MTA.
· Undertake any other duties, assignments, or projects as directed by the Head of Department or Management.
Job Requirement
· Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Takaful, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related disciplines from a recognised institution.
· Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the Takaful, insurance, financial services, regulatory, or association environment.
· Good understanding of the Takaful and insurance industry, including industry practices and regulatory developments.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
· Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
· Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
· Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
· Possess good organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
