Job Summary
Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka is seeking a professional, customer focused and proactive Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Front Office and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The Duty Manager is responsible for supervising front office operations during assigned shifts, handling guest concerns efficiently, maintaining service standards and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Front Office during assigned shifts.
- Ensure smooth check in and check out processes while delivering excellent guest service.
- Handle guest complaints, requests, and emergency situations promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a visible presence in the lobby to engage with guests and ensure their satisfaction.
- Supervise, motivate, and support the Front Office team to achieve operational excellence.
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy, VIP arrivals and special guest requests.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures and brand standards.
- Prepare daily operational reports, incident reports and shift handover documentation.
- Assist in training, coaching and developing Front Office associates.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures and accuracy of billing transactions.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
- Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities during assigned shifts.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of Front Office experience in a hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or Duty Manager position.
- Strong leadership, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding guest service.
- Ability to work independently and remain composed under pressure.
- Good knowledge of Front Office operations and hotel property management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required proficiency in additional languages, including Mandarin, will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
