Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manager – Accounts to support our finance operations within the dynamic Food & Beverage (F&B) environment. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate should have solid F&B industry knowledge, strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including revenue recognition, supplier invoices, petty cash, inventory accounting, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of sales and expenses across multiple outlets/locations.
- Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), food wastage, inventory movement, and gross profit margins.
- Review outlet-level P&L reports and assist in variance analysis.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely settlements and reconciliation.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, SST/GST/VAT (as applicable), and internal control policies.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties for audit and tax submissions.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Supervise junior accountants and provide guidance as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Compulsory to have professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the F&B, hospitality, or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of POS systems, inventory systems, and their integration with accounting software.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, MYOB, SAP, or any relevant ERP).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with outlet operations and F&B business processes.
- Experience handling multi-location or franchise accounting.
- Knowledge of menu costing, stock variance, and wastage control.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
