Project Manager - Data Center (DC) Migration

Placement: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Onsite)

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Data Center Migration to lead end-to-end data center migration projects. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex infrastructure migration initiatives while ensuring minimal business disruption, regulatory compliance, and successful project execution.

You will work closely with infrastructure, application, security, network, and vendor teams to deliver critical migration programs from planning through post-migration support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of data center migration projects.
• Develop and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Plan and execute migration waves, cutover activities, and transition schedules.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Network, and external vendors.
• Monitor project progress, budget, resource allocation, and project deliverables.
• Facilitate project governance meetings and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure migration readiness through validation activities, runbooks, rollback plans, and testing.
• Support post-migration hypercare, operational handover, and data center decommissioning activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of IT project management experience, with at least 3–5 years leading Data Center Migration or infrastructure transformation projects.
• Strong experience managing large-scale infrastructure or data center migration initiatives.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure technologies including: Compute, Storage, Networking, Security
• Familiarity with migration approaches such as Lift & Shift, Hybrid, and Cloud Migration.
• Experience with project management and ITSM tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and ServiceNow.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional technical teams and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Cloud Fundamentals certification (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
• Experience working in enterprise or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
