Responsibilities

Role Description This full-time Software Engineer / Developer role at Corporación APSColombia is a hybrid position based in Singapore River, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and back-end services that support business operations and customer-facing solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and optimizing system performance and reliability. The Software Engineer / Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs, integrate APIs and third-party services, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tools. The role also includes documenting technical solutions, ensuring security and compliance standards are met, and supporting deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
  • Practical knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating in person in Singapore River and remotely as needed.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Familiarity with testing practices (unit, integration, and automated testing) and debugging tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
