Key Responsibilities1. IT Operations Management
- Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and reliability of IT infrastructure, applications, and business systems.
- Perform routine operational checks on servers, networks, databases, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure IT services operate within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance, system upgrades, and patch management activities.
- Monitor system capacity and recommend improvements to optimize performance.
2. Incident & Problem Management
- Respond to system alerts, incidents, and service interruptions promptly.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and application issues.
- Coordinate incident resolution with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Application Support teams.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate incident records and follow escalation procedures when necessary.
3. Infrastructure & System Administration
- Support the administration of Windows and Linux servers.
- Monitor virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and access permissions.
- Assist in managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Monitor storage, backup systems, and disaster recovery readiness.
4. Network & Security Operations
- Monitor network connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless infrastructure.
- Support cybersecurity operations by monitoring security alerts and implementing security controls.
- Ensure antivirus, endpoint protection, and security patches are up to date.
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
- Support compliance with information security policies and standards.
5. Service Desk & End-User Support
- Provide Level 2 technical support for end users and business applications.
- Resolve hardware, software, printer, email, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, and remote access solutions.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and software licensing records.
6. Change & Release Management
- Support system changes, software deployments, and production releases.
- Participate in change advisory processes to minimize operational risks.
- Verify successful implementation of changes and maintain change documentation.
- Coordinate system maintenance windows with stakeholders.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, technical guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Track system availability, incident trends, and operational KPIs.
- Support audit activities by maintaining accurate operational records.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate routine operational tasks.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects and technology upgrades.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Computer Engineering
- Network Engineering
- or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure Support, System Administration, IT Support, or Network Operations.
- Fresh Graduate encouraged to apply ( From IT Industries)
- Experience supporting enterprise IT environments is preferred.
- Experience in cloud-based infrastructure and hybrid environments is an advantage.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,200.00 per month
