Job Description – Warehouse Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a Warehouse Engineer to manage and optimize warehouse and material operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, inventory control, and process stewardship. The role also supports SAP S/4HANA migration and UAT activities to ensure warehouse processes align with business and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, SAP systems, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving & Material Operations

• Oversee daily receiving operations and resolve operational issues
• Ensure timely completion of receipts for incoming shipments and materials
• Develop workflows, SOPs, and maintain process documentation
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies such as shortages or damages
• Drive warehouse process standardization and optimization initiatives

2. Warehouse Management

• Manage day-to-day warehouse activities including:
• Storage
• Issuance
• Inventory control
• Ensure inventory accuracy and cycle count compliance
• Monitor FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices
• Ensure compliance with:
• Safety regulations
• Cold storage requirements
• Intellectual Property (IP) protection controls
• Conduct warehouse audits and identify improvement opportunities
• Implement automation and AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with:
• IT Teams
• Business Analysts
• Solution Architects
• System Integrators
• Participate in workshops, migration reviews, and go-live readiness activities
• Support cutover preparation and business readiness checks

Operational Risk & Readiness

• Coordinate testing schedules without impacting warehouse operations
• Identify operational risks and training gaps
• Support SOP updates and workaround planning before go-live

Additional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain optimal inventory levels
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through:
• Automation
• Supplier collaboration
• Resource optimization
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs

Requirements

Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in:
• Warehouse Operations
• Inventory Management
• Material Handling
• SAP Warehouse Processes
• Experience with SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA preferred
• Exposure to UAT testing and process validation
• Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance standards
