Job Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Drilling Operator to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the assigned department and ensure timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. This role is based in Kaki Bukit, Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in operating a drilling rig and performing drilling processes safely and efficiently.
• Consistent in collecting good quality soil and rock samples.
• Able to assist geologists in conducting in-situ soil testing.
• Able to carry out drilling and installation of borehole instruments such as water standpipes, piezometers, and inclinometers.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks to ensure the rig is in good working condition at all times.
• Practice workplace safety and always follow safe work procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on job capability with a sound mechanical bias.
• Experience:
• Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is an advantage.
• Experience working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous.
• Understanding of recognized Quality Management Systems (such as ISO 17025) is beneficial.
• Soft Skills:
• Self-motivated technician with the ability to multi-task, organize, and work under pressure in a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory.
• Excellent attention to detail & strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A team-player attitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
