As part of Ramboll’s Data Centre & Facilities (DCF) Buildings team, you will play a key role in delivering resilient, high‑performance electrical systems for some of the most technically complex and mission‑critical projects in the region. You will be involved in the design, coordination, and delivery of robust power infrastructure, ensuring reliability, compliance, and operational excellence across the full project lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Design and specify electrical systems for data centres and buildings, including 132kV and 33kV substations, 415V systems, generators, UPS, and ELV systems.
- Prepare detailed design documentation, calculations, and drawings for statutory and authority submissions.
- Participate in client, consultant, site, and technical coordination meetings.
- Provide project management support and oversee construction supervision activities.
- Review and evaluate contractors’ technical submissions, including equipment, materials, and drawings.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure installations comply with approved designs and standards.
- Witness testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Collaborate closely with clients’ project teams and multidisciplinary consultants to ensure coordinated and compliant design delivery.
- Carry out any additional duties as assigned from time to time.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering accredited and recognised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience with M&E consultancy firms.
- Strong working knowledge of Malaysian codes, standards, and statutory regulations.
- Proficient in engineering software and tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, and ETAP simulation software.
- Demonstrated project management capability, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Positive, proactive work attitude with strong accountability and initiative.
- Able to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Passionate about translating design concepts into high‑quality built installations and validating performance through testing.
- Enjoys hands-on involvement in site activities, testing, and commissioning works.
- Experience in the data centre industry is highly advantageous.
- Candidates with extensive experience, advanced technical expertise, or additional professional qualifications—such as Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC)—may be considered for a senior or leadership role.
