This role focuses on improving PCBA/SMT manufacturing efficiency, optimizing production layouts, analyzing costs, and supporting new line setups while ensuring quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for PCBA/SMT lines, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
Design and implement efficient production layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
Analyze and improve line balancing, production cycles, and material flow to ensure smooth operations.
Perform lead time analysis, motion studies and capacity planning to identify areas for improvement and maximize equipment utilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality, to drive continuous process improvements.
Monitor and analyze production data, providing insights to improve throughput, yield, and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while supporting lean manufacturing initiatives.
Support the setup and launch of production lines in the facility, working closely with the equipment and production teams.
Complete a costing calculation (customer RFQ) within the time frame. Coordinate and review RFQ costing to ensure pricings are competitive and profitable.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour and overhead associated with projects or products.
Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the manager.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement.
Experience in process optimization, layout design, and production line balancing.
