Role Description This is a full-time, on-site NDT Technician role based in Kuala Lumpur. The NDT Technician will perform non-destructive testing activities on materials, components, and structures using methods such as eddy current and ultrasonic testing. Daily tasks include preparing test equipment, conducting inspections, documenting test results, and reporting findings to engineering and quality teams. The role involves supporting corrosion evaluations, participating in quality control processes, and ensuring that inspections meet relevant industry standards and safety requirements. The technician will also assist in maintaining equipment, following established procedures, and collaborating with other team members to resolve technical issues and improve inspection effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in non-destructive testing methods such as Eddy Current and Ultrasonics.
  • Experience with Inspection and Quality Control activities in industrial or engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of Corrosion mechanisms and their impact on materials and structural integrity.
  • Relevant NDT certifications (e.g., Level I or II in common methods) and adherence to applicable codes and standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test reports with strong attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively on-site and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience in research-oriented or high-technology settings is an advantage.
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering, materials science, or a related technical field is preferred.
