Job Description

Responsibilities

Reports to

Assistant Housekeeper / Senior Housekeeper

Job Responsibilities

  1. Responsible to supervise, train and inspect the work of assigned Room Attendants to ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance to Hotel’s standard.
  2. Monitors assigned staff attendance records and documents any lateness or absenteeism.
  3. Prepares and distributes assignment sheets to assigned staff and reviews priorities.
  4. Assigns designated keys to staff and maintains accurate records.
  5. Conduct daily briefing with the Room attendants on urgent clean rooms, VIP arrival, special reguest and etc.
  6. Checks Room Attendant's carts for proper supplies, neatness, cleanliness and mechanical problems.
  7. Inspect guest corridor, standing ashtray and staircases and ensure all are well maintained.
  8. Report any suspicious character loitering along the guest corridor.
  9. Inspects and updates room status after room cleanliness and condition is in accordance with hotel standards.
  10. Assists in accommodating guest requests for Housekeeping items or additional supplies in a timely manner and performs follow up actions on the delivery and return of items.
  11. Conducts training for staff as assigned.
  12. Reports staff disciplinary problems to Superior and participate in the counseling of staff.
  13. Responsible for the completion of all paperwork and closing duties before end of shift.
  14. Reviews status of assignments and any follow-up action with Assistant Housekeeper.
  15. Manage and monitor the housekeeping status of the ‘Knowcross’ system.
  16. Undertake other duties as and when assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.

Education & Work Experience

  1. GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent
  2. Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a similar job role preferably in a hotel
  3. Able to understand and speak basic English and Mandarin
  4. Good leadership skill
