Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and hands-on Assembly Technician to support the assembly of large-scale jigs and fixtures exceeding 1 metre in length. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting detailed assembly drawings and work instructions, carrying out pre-assembly preparation, and performing precise assembly, installation, and inspection tasks. You will also maintain inventory accuracy and ensure all products meet strict quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Drawing Interpretation

·      Read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions to assemble large jigs and fixtures exceeding 1metre in length.

Assembly Work

·      Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and standard components to support continuous assembly operations.

·      Carry out pre-assembly tasks such as cleaning, deburring, and lubricating components to ensure readiness for assembly.

·      Conduct final inspections and adjustments to identify and correct defects, ensuring products meet quality standards.

·      Perform installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacement, and refitting of products as required to maintain functionality and quality.

Who are we looking for?

Required Qualifications and Experience

·      Higher NITEC in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Precision or Advanced Manufacturing) – or equivalent Technical Certificate from technical/vocational institutions

·       Able to accurately read and interpret 2D and 3Dassembly drawings and work instructions, understanding dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.

·       Understanding of how individual components fit and function within larger assemblies.

Preferred Experience

·       Hands-on experience in assembly work including installation, inspection, repair, reassembly, replacement, and fine adjustments, ensuring the final product meets functional and quality standards.
