Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Selangor

Pay range: Up to RM 11,000 (Basic)

About the Company: A globally renowned engineering consultancy firm with deep expertise in consulting, design, project management and providing engineering services across large-scale township, commercial, retail, residential, and integrated mixed development construction projects locally and regionally.

About the Role: Deliver comprehensive structural engineering designs for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, project specifications, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the structural design and analysis of mid-rise and high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, ensuring safe, efficient, and practical design outcomes.
• Review and verify structural calculations, technical drawings, and design specifications to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with statutory and project requirements.
• Prepare tender documentation, including drawings and Bills of Quantities (BQ), participate in tender evaluations and interviews, and compile tender assessment reports.
• Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of project delivery to resolve technical issues and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers while overseeing drafting and documentation activities to maintain high standards of design quality and productivity.
• Support design reviews, authority submissions, client consultations, and technical presentations, delivering practical, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Attend and contribute to client meetings, consultant coordination meetings, technical workshops, and site meetings to ensure project objectives, timelines, and quality standards are achieved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience
• Prior work experience in a consulting firm will be advantageous
• Knowledge of using structural software is an advantage
• Knowledge of both RC, Steel and Composite design is an advantage
• Basic Mandarin proficiency is needed
