Core Responsibilities
- Define and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and business glossaries within Microsoft Purview and Fabric.
- Monitor data quality metrics and implement remediation processes for critical datasets.
- Collaborate with data owners to establish stewardship workflows and data certification protocols.
- Support data classification, lineage tracking, and access controls using Azure Data Catalog and Purview.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR).
- Facilitate data governance forums and contribute to the development of enterprise data standards.
- Work with data engineers to validate ingestion pipelines and ensure consistency across Lakehouse tables.
- Assist in onboarding new datasets into OneLake with appropriate tagging and documentation.
- Champion data stewardship best practices across departments and promote data literacy.

Requirements
- Degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data stewardship, governance, or data quality roles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Catalog, and Fabric Lakehouse.
- Previous experience working in Big4 consulting, global enterprises, or fortune 500 is a plus.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with metadata management and data lineage tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for data accuracy and consistency.
- Play a key role in building trusted data foundations for AI and analytics.
- Work within a modern Microsoft ecosystem including Fabric, Purview, and OneLake.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data governance maturity.
- Shape enterprise-wide data stewardship practices and standards.
