Responsibilities

Important note

  • This role follows the Australian public holiday. You are required to work on Malaysian public holiday and you will be compensated for these days with additional annual leave.
  • This is full onsite role.
  • Your working hours starts at 7.00am and ends between 4.00pm to 5.00pm

Our Customer

Our client is an award winning Australian financial services company providing brokerage platforms, trading services, and clearing and settlement infrastructure to both retail and institutional clients. As part of a broader financial services group, the company powers a range of white-label trading platforms, including one of Australia’s leading online trading platforms, while also supporting backend market operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance automated test suites across desktop, web, and API platforms.
  • Build and maintain web automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Design and execute API tests using Postman or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and agile team members to define and implement effective testing strategies.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Identify testing gaps, improve test coverage, and reduce manual testing through automation.
  • Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews for junior automation testers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and documentation.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor AI, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test case generation and code refinement.
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master and Automation Practice Lead to ensure products meet quality standards and business requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in automation testing, with hands-on experience in either desktop or web environments.
  • Good proficiency in Playwright, TestComplete, Postman, or Selenium (experience in at least two).
  • Have experience in programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Understand software testing principles, testing lifecycle, and agile development practices.
  • Work with Automation Practice Lead to design modular and maintain test automation frameworks.
  • Comfortable working within CI/CD environments and pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of performance testing or monitoring tools.
  • Experience with test case management and defect tracking systems

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
