We are an established Indian restaurant committed to serving authentic and high-quality Indian cuisine. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Cook / Chef with experience in Indian food preparation to join our growing team.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Specialize in North Indian, South Indian, and traditional Indian cuisine preparation.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently with excellent taste and appearance.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Manage food inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook or Chef specializing in Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes.
- Ability to prepare a variety of Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, biryani, naan, chapati, dosa, and other Indian specialties.
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Able to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary certification or professional cooking training is an advantage.
- Experience in restaurant or catering operations.
- Ability to create new menu items and improve existing recipes.

Salary
RM2,000 – RM5,000 per month (depending on experience and skills)
