About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team at a reputable specialist hospital. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech and language therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient populations while collaborating closely with doctors and allied health professionals. The role includes conducting assessments, delivering treatment, maintaining clinical documentation, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives. The position also requires adherence to hospital standards, patient safety protocols, and professional development through ongoing training and education. The responsibilities and qualifications are based on the attached job description.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and patient safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, training, and continuing professional development (CPD).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Speech & Language Therapy (Degree preferred).
• Valid Practising Certificate issued by the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).
• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience as a Speech Therapist.
• Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about delivering quality patient care and working in a multidisciplinary environment.
