IT Support Engineer

Location: Damansara Uptown, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week, 40 Hours/Week)

Duration: 1-Year Contract (Possible Extension)

Employment Type: Independent Contractor (No Benefits)

Pay Rate: USD $1,500–$1,600/Month

Job Summary

We are looking for an Onsite Support Engineer to provide deskside and technical support to end users in a corporate environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Windows and Office 365 environments, managing IT tickets, and ensuring timely resolution of user incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside support for end users.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Office 365, hardware, and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
• Manage incidents and service requests using a ticketing system.
• Support Active Directory user administration, VPN connectivity, and basic networking.
• Escalate complex issues when required and ensure timely resolution.

Must-Have Skills

• 1–3+ years of IT/Desktop Support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Hands-on experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar).
• Knowledge of Active Directory, VPN, printers, and basic networking.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
