Position Summary

The role is responsible for sourcing industrial equipment, spare parts, and MRO items to support client procurement requirements. This role involves identifying and managing suppliers, issuing and evaluating RFQs, negotiating pricing and commercial terms, and ensuring timely procurement of products.

The executive will work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to provide accurate sourcing solutions, recommend product alternatives when required, and coordinate order fulfillment. In addition, the role includes conducting market research on industrial products, monitoring supplier performance, and identifying cost-effective sourcing opportunities to support efficient procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Sourcing & Vendor Management

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for industrial equipment, spare parts, and MRO items.
• Build and maintain a strong supplier database across local and international markets.
• Develop long-term relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and service providers.

RFQ & Quotation Management

• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to multiple suppliers.
• Analyze quotations based on price, quality, delivery lead time, and technical compliance.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to secure competitive offers.

Client Procurement Support

• Support procurement requests from clients through the sourcing platform.
• Provide product alternatives and equivalent parts when original items are unavailable.
• Ensure timely responses and accurate sourcing results.

Order Coordination

• Work with suppliers to confirm availability, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with logistics teams for order fulfillment.
• Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.

Market & Product Research

• Research industrial products, brands, and market trends.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through supplier alternatives or equivalent products.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration.
• 2–5 years experience in industrial procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• Experience sourcing electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, or MRO products is highly preferred.
• Basic computer skills (WhatsApp, Excel, email)
• Able and willing to travel for site visits

Skills & Attributes

• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to read technical specifications and datasheets.
• Good knowledge of industrial brands and equipment.
• Proficiency in Excel, procurement systems, or ERP tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range : RM4,500 – RM5,000 (depending on experience)
