EMPLOYMENT TYPE : 12 MONTHS DIRECT HIRE CONTRACT
The SENIOR EXECUTIVE, TREASURY is required to lead and manage the end-to-end treasury management and company’s offshore insurance with existing rules and regulations as enacted under the relevant Acts or Governance within Joint Development Area, policies and procedures in supporting the compliance to Product Sharing Contract (PSC), Joint Operating Agreement (JOA), Joint Operating Company Agreement (JOCA) and Code of Business Ethics (COBE).
Assists Team Leader Financial Services on Finance business continuity by acting as a driver for finance process compliance and leading process improvement initiative across Finance. Undertake and assist Financial Services’ Team Lead in supporting other functions including offshore insurance, treasury, account payable, account receivable and taxation.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, guide and manage treasury team in handling all treasury related matters
- Review and manage treasury deliverables in relation to all cash management transactions, resolve cash issues, perform bank account reconciliation timely, control bank balances, submit regulatory reporting to BNM, month end close activities and other finance activities
- Perform monthly exchange rate update in accounting system
- Liaise with banker to arrange trade facilities such as bank guarantee and other treasury matters
- Provide support on banking issues for the business units and other corporate functional areas.
- Manage Accounts Receivable process and ensure compliance of internal controls and best practices
- Provide tax invoice/ debit note and perform SAP posting on timely manner with proper verification and approval
- Monitor Account Receivable’s aging and follow up for closure timely
- Provide debtor and bank audit confirmation of balance
- Manage all matters in relation to Company’s offshore insurance
- Provide instruction and guidance to internal stakeholders/ business support on offshore insurance program
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver risk management strategies that fit to the Company’s risk profile
- Coordinate the sum insured information from business support
- Evaluates, authenticates and verifies the information/ documents presented by business support in relation to renewal and claim submissions
- Provide supporting commentary on the variances in sum insured against prior year(s)
- Manage the annual renewal of offshore insurance in compliance with the applicable regulations and governance
- Manage contracting strategy for offshore insurance
- Manage and monitor the claim(s) in compliance with the applicable regulations and governance
- Provide update/ notification to the Broker as per the requirement in policy wordings/ contract
- Assist with policy wording comparisons, noting differences in yearly contract and summarizing for the supervisor and stakeholder
- Manage and maintain documentation/ records related to the annual renewal and claims in a properly and timely fashion
- Liaison with external broker in relation to all offshore insurance matters
- Serve as the focal for communication with MTJA and Shareholders for all offshore insurance related matters
- Develop standard work instructions, guidelines, policies and procedures relating to financial services functions in supporting the compliance to PSC, JOA and JOCA
- Coordinate and manage any ad hoc project assigned by Finance Manager/ Team Leader as and when required for process improvement
- Support internal and external audits for treasury, Account Receivable and Offshore insurance by attending and providing required documentation and basis
Job Requirement:-
- Degree in accountancy/ financial or an internationally recognized professional accounting qualification with sound Accounting and Finance experience
- Minimum 7 years working experience in Oil & Gas industry in PSC environment (Finance Area)
- Experience in handling SAP
- Have working knowledge of treasury & cash management
- Have working knowledge Malaysia & Thailand direct and indirect tax regulations is an added advantage
