Our work spans AI chatbots, machine learning, Industrial IoT, enterprise software, and data analytics. We partner with organisations across manufacturing, healthcare, retail, logistics, and government to deliver intelligent systems that improve operations and decision-making.

We're looking for an AI Applications Engineer who is passionate about AI and software development. You'll work alongside our Solutions Architect and Project Manager to design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications for real clients.

What You'll Be Working On

AI Chatbots & Enterprise AI

• Develop AI-powered chatbots using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar LLM platforms
• Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications
• Connect AI applications to SQL databases, APIs, and enterprise systems
• Improve prompt engineering, AI workflows, and chatbot performance
• Assist in deploying AI solutions for enterprise clients

Machine Learning & Data Analytics

• Support the development of machine learning and predictive analytics solutions
• Analyse structured and time-series datasets
• Build dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Assist with anomaly detection and forecasting projects

Industrial IoT

• Develop applications that process industrial sensor data
• Integrate data from MQTT, OPC-UA, REST APIs, or other sources
• Support predictive maintenance and equipment monitoring solutions
• Build dashboards for operational insights

Software Development

• Develop backend applications using Python
• Build and maintain web applications and APIs
• Integrate databases and third-party services
• Deploy and maintain applications using Docker and Linux/Windows environments
• Enhance and support WipData's existing products and platforms

Client Engagement

• Participate in client meetings to understand business requirements
• Assist in solution design and technical discussions
• Prepare technical documentation and project deliverables
• Work closely with the Project Manager during implementation
• Demonstrate completed features and provide technical support when required

What We're Looking For

Required Skills

• Strong Python programming skills
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL preferred)
• Experience developing REST APIs
• Basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or similar AI APIs
• Familiarity with Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and willingness to engage with clients

• FastAPI, Flask or Django
• React or Vue.js

• pandas and scikit-learn
• MQTT or Industrial IoT exposure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field
• 2–4 years of software development experience
• Personal AI, machine learning, or chatbot projects are an advantage
• Strong willingness to learn and explore new technologies
