Data Centre Engineer / Technicians / Operations Coordinator

Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Salary: Up to RM8,000 per month, 5 days work week.

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a Data Centre Engineer / Technicians / Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of an operational data centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily data centre operations to ensure smooth site activities and service continuity.
• Monitor incidents, service requests, maintenance activities, and operational tasks.
• Liaise with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and customers for operational support and issue resolution.
• Coordinate access requests, work permits, maintenance windows, and vendor attendance.
• Track operational tickets, action items, risks, and follow-ups.
• Support rack & stack, cabling, equipment movement, asset tracking, and inventory updates.
• Prepare operational reports, meeting minutes, checklists, and documentation.
• Ensure activities comply with data centre SOPs, safety, security, and escalation procedures.
• Support incident escalation, RCA documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in IT, Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data centre operations, infrastructure support, facilities operations, NOC, smart hands, or technical coordination.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, internal teams, or customers.
• Good understanding of operational DC environment, including tickets, access control, maintenance activities, rack/cabling, or infrastructure support.
• Strong Excel, documentation, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Preferred

Experience in hyperscale, colocation, banking DC, telecom, critical facilities, or enterprise infrastructure environments will be an advantage.
