The incumbent is responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining detailed engineering drawings for fabrication and production. This role works closely with engineers and production team to ensure all drawings are accurate, practical, and compliant with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Drafting

• Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks
• Convert design concepts and sketches into technical drawings
• Modify and update drawings according to customer or production requirements
• Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and project specifications

2. Drawing management

• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control records
• Ensure all approved drawings are properly issued and archived
• Manage engineering documentation and technical records

3. Production support

• Provide drawing clarification to production and workshop personnel
• Assist in resolving fabrication issues related to drawings
• Verify completed products against approved drawings

4. Internal Coordination

• Communicate with engineers on drawing submissions, revisions and technical requirements
• Support project teams with technical documentation and material information

5. Documentation support

• Assist in quantity take-off and preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

6. Production & Site Support

• Support production team in fabrication and assembly processes
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to design and manufacturing
• Ensure products are fabricated according to approved drawings

7. Product Scope

• Involved in design and support of mechanical structure products, including:
• Skid platform, Form hose reel, enclosures and panels, bicycle racks, battery racks, construction structural works

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• AutoCAD & SOLIDWORKS proficiency (mandatory)
• Fresh graduate / experience in construction projects
• Preferably with structural drafting experience
• Not suitable for candidates from machining, precision engineering, or tooling backgrounds
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
