Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on Kitchen Supervisor who is enthusiastic, optimistic and treats everyone with respect. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service for our guests. We want someone who has a genuine passion for food, enjoys coaching others and takes pride in creating an efficient and well-organised kitchen.

What is your role?

  • You are responsible for the full ownership of food preparation and food production areas to deliver consistent food quality.
  • You are responsible for supervising the day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service.
  • You will lead and support the Kitchen Ambassadors, ensuring food quality, consistency and presentation meet our standards.
  • You will oversee stock control, inventory management, ordering, receiving of goods and kitchen documentation, including Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requisitions (PR) and stock records.
  • You will ensure food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures are followed at all times while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • You will assist the Chef de Partie in coordinating daily operations, controlling food costs and minimising wastage.
  • You are responsible for the shift opening, closing and ensuring all operational and administrative duties are completed.

What are we looking for?

  • Candidate with a genuine, real caring, energetic and fun personality.
  • Candidate who thrives on turning traditional thinking on its head and wants to do things right the first time.
  • Candidate with at least 2–3 years of kitchen experience, preferably with supervisory experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Candidate who is comfortable using computer systems and handling kitchen administrative documentation, including Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requisitions (PR), inventory and stock records.
  • Candidate who is organised, detail-oriented and able to complete administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Candidate who is able to lead, coach and motivate a team while maintaining a positive working environment.
  • Candidate who is able to communicate in English, both verbal and written (other language abilities are welcome too!).
  • Candidate who is able to work well independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
