Job Description

Responsibilities

Company Description Great Eastern Financial Advisers (GEFA), officially launched in March 2011, has grown to be the largest financial advisory firm in Singapore, with a network of about 700 financial consultants. GEFA operates a distinctive business model that combines the strengths of a major insurance company with a financial advisory firm, providing a strong platform for both professionals and customers. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Holdings and a member of the OCBC Group, GEFA leverages robust financial backing and comprehensive infrastructure support. Customers benefit from access to insurance solutions and investment opportunities from more than 50 insurance companies and fund managers, alongside the high service standards that Great Eastern is known for. This environment offers wealth planners a broad product universe, strong institutional support, and opportunities to grow their careers in a leading advisory firm.
Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Singapore, with some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. The Wealth Planner will engage clients to understand their financial goals, risk profiles, and life-stage needs, and develop tailored financial plans that may include insurance, savings, and investment solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting financial reviews, recommending appropriate products from a wide range of insurers and fund managers, and monitoring clients’ portfolios to ensure they remain aligned with changing circumstances and market conditions. The role involves preparing proposals, analyzing financial trends, maintaining accurate client records, and adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements. The Wealth Planner will also participate in business development activities, such as client prospecting, networking, and educational sessions, to build and sustain a strong client base.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning to assess client needs, structure holistic plans, and provide ongoing advisory support.
  • Candidates should possess solid expertise in Investment Management and Investments to construct and review portfolios aligned with client goals and risk tolerance.

  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Insurance products to recommend appropriate protection, savings, and wealth accumulation solutions.
  • Relevant academic background in finance, business, economics, or related disciplines; industry certifications (e.g., CFP, CHFC, CIWM) are an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, explain complex ideas simply, and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards in Singapore.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a performance-oriented environment with both independent and team-based activities.
