Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of wines.
Support the identification and evaluation of potential wine suppliers/producers and participate in pricing and contract negotiations.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and producers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements within the procurement and usage cycle.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, and Operations) to align wine selection with customer demand and business objectives.
Prepare regular procurement reports, and maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Support procurement-related projects and undertake ad-hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
Higher Diploma or above in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the wine sector with strong wine knowledge.
WSET Certificate level 2 or above preferred.
High attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
Possess solid knowledge of overseas wine shipping processes, including international logistics coordination, customs documentation, temperature‑controlled transport requirements, and risk management to ensure timely and secure delivery.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, capable of building and sustaining relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solver with the ability to address procurement-related issues efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Good command of spoken & written English and Cantonese.
This role may be titled Wine Buyer for candidates with less managerial experience
