Role Description This full-time, on-site Personal Trainer role is based at the Fitness First club in Shah Alam. The Personal Trainer will conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions, design safe and effective exercise programs, and coach members on proper technique to help them reach their fitness goals. Daily responsibilities include assessing member fitness levels, tracking progress, providing motivation and feedback, and maintaining a high standard of service on the gym floor. The role also involves educating members on healthy lifestyle habits, collaborating with club staff to support member retention, and occasionally contributing to special classes or events. Personal Trainers are expected to uphold all safety and hygiene standards while representing Fitness First’s commitment to professional, inclusive, and member-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, including designing individualized workout programs and coaching safe exercise techniques.
  • Ability to conduct Circuit Training sessions and small-group workouts that are engaging, effective, and suitable for different fitness levels.
  • Experience or knowledge in Sports Coaching to support members with athletic performance, conditioning, and goal-oriented training.
  • Understanding of basic Nutrition principles to provide general guidance that supports members’ fitness and wellbeing goals.
  • Relevant certification in personal training, fitness instruction, or sports science from a recognized body.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, motivate diverse members, and build positive, professional relationships.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful training environment for all members.
  • Flexibility to work peak hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by club operations.
