Role Description The IT Business Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for IT solutions that support strategic and operational objectives. The IT Business Analyst will translate business needs into functional specifications, collaborate with technical teams on solution design, and support testing and validation activities. Daily responsibilities include conducting stakeholder workshops, creating process maps and use cases, preparing reports and presentations, and tracking project progress and risks. The role also requires supporting change management efforts, assisting with user training materials, and contributing to continuous improvement of business processes and IT services.
Qualifications
  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, use case development, and documentation.
  • Experience working with IT teams on solution design, system implementation, integration, and testing activities.
  • Proficiency with common business analysis and project tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, collaboration platforms, diagramming tools such as Visio or similar).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid) and basic project management practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities with attention to detail and quality.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and collaborating in diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, or industry-specific platforms) is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile-related certifications) are beneficial but not mandatory.
