Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Department: General Operations Department

Reports to: General Operations Deputy Manager

Location: Office in Penang ; Working location in Kulim

Work Schedule: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize production processes, workflows, and layouts using Lean and industrial engineering methods
• Conduct time studies, motion analyses, and workload balancing across production lines
• Develop and maintain standard times, capacity models, and labor standards
• Identify and implement improvement projects (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, VSM, etc.)
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, and Engineering to support ramp-ups and process changes
• Design and optimize plant layouts and material flow concepts
• Support Make-vs-Buy analyses and investment evaluations from a process perspective
• Track and report operational KPIs (cycle time, efficiency, scrap rate, OEE)
• Drive digitalization and automation initiatives in the production environment
• Train and coach shop floor teams on lean principles and standardized work

Preferred Education/Experience/Competencies/Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital manufacturing tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process documentation
• Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with strong project management skills
• Good communication skills across all levels of the organization
