Role Description The Junior Golf Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Alor Setar, supporting the daily operations and quality of the golf facilities under BDB’s tourism and leisure portfolio. This role involves coordinating tee times, assisting with tournament and event setup, and ensuring the golf course environment is welcoming and well-organized for guests. The Junior Golf Executive will help monitor course conditions, including basic irrigation checks, and support the maintenance of golf equipment and driving range facilities. The role includes providing attentive customer service to golfers, handling inquiries and feedback, and promoting club services, packages, and events. The Junior Golf Executive will work closely with the golf operations team to uphold safety standards, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a positive and professional club atmosphere.


Qualifications

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with golfers, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Basic Golf knowledge, including rules, etiquette, and familiarity with Golf Equipment used on the course and driving range.
  • Ability to support course operations, including simple Irrigation-related checks and coordination with maintenance teams.
  • Organizational and time management skills to assist with scheduling, event coordination, and daily operational tasks.
  • Ability to work on-site in Alor Setar, including weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required.
  • Prior experience in golf club operations, hospitality, or sports management is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in sports management, hospitality, recreation, or a related field is preferred.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and capacity to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
