ABOUT THE ROLE :

StarValley Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Floor Manager to lead the daily operations of our café and guest service areas in Puchong, Selangor. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth operations, delivering outstanding customer service, managing team performance, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. You will work closely with Management to create an exceptional guest experience while driving operational efficiency and team development.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DUTY :

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the café and guest service areas.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise the service team to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all guests receive friendly, professional, and efficient service.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.
• Prepare duty rosters and assign daily responsibilities.
• Conduct daily briefings and ensure effective communication within the team.
• Handle customer feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels, and coordinate ordering with relevant departments.
• Assist in achieving sales targets through effective upselling and promotional activities.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members to improve service quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, barista, maintenance, housekeeping, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare daily operational reports and update Management on operational performance.
• Ensure the café, dining area, and guest facilities are clean, organised, and presentable at all times.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by Management.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :

• SPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 years of supervisory or managerial experience in the hospitality, café, restaurant, or hotel industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to support communication with Mandarin-speaking guests and team members.
