Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering activities for a major offshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout detailed engineering, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant structural designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering design and analysis activities for offshore facilities.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specifications, and engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural assessments for topsides, jackets, modules, and supporting structures.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, international standards, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and client meetings.
• Review vendor documentation and provide technical input where required.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
• Support project planning, progress monitoring, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of structural engineering experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong offshore platform design experience.
• Proven experience in detailed engineering projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, SESAM, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of API, ISO, DNV, and international offshore design standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience working with major EPC contractors is highly desirable.
