This assignment offers candidates an immersive, hands-on introduction to hospitality and F&B operations. Interns will cultivate a career in service excellence by collaborating with team members and key stakeholders. Under the mentorship of the Outlet Manager, daily responsibilities focus on supporting essential café and kitchen functions, ensuring a seamless guest experience while refining both technical and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Front-of-House (Café):
- Service Delivery: Assist in hosting, ordering, and tableside service.
- Master the Art of Coffee: Take your passion to the next level with dedicated barista training. This opportunity is designed to fast-track your skills, empowering you to take ownership of the coffee station and serve as the café’s barista.
- Quality Control: Uphold high standards for dining area presentation and cleanliness.
- Product Knowledge: Act as a brand expert on Emery Coffee menu.
- POS Management: Support the team with seamless transaction handling and system operations.
Back-of-House (Kitchen):
- Assist the kitchen team in basic food preparation while adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet brand quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in receiving and organizing supplies.
- Participate in maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring a clean workspace.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (for simple inventory reporting or scheduling tasks).
- A strong passion for the F&B and service industry.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, "people-first" attitude.
- Willingness to work on a shift basis, including weekends and public holidays (if applicable).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
