The Associate Specialist, Sustainability provides technical and operational support in the collection, organization, validation, and maintenance of environmental sustainability‑related data (energy, water, materials, waste, and emissions) across the product portfolio.
This role plays a key technical and analytical function by producing high‑quality data inputs and preliminary insights that support product carbon footprint evaluations and the technical assessment of sustainability claims, enabling robust documentation and substantiation of product sustainability claims.

What your role will be?
- Collect, structure, analyse, and validate environmental sustainability data for products manufactured both in‑house and by outsourced partners, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders across regions using Excel and other data formats, and ensuring that supporting documentation and evidence are suitable for use in environmental assessments aligned with ISO 14067, ISO 14040, and ISO 14044.
- Support the preparation and analysis of manufacturing, material, and process data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for sustainability assessments.
- Prepare datasets and perform preliminary analyses to support product environmental impact and product carbon footprint evaluations, including comparative scenarios.
- Analyze and document environmental performance indicators related to energy, water, waste, emissions, and material use, supporting technical assessments and reporting.
- Support the technical assessment and substantiation of sustainability claims (e.g. recycled content and other product environmental attributes) through data analysis, documentation, and evidence gathering.
- Contribute to sustainability reporting, continuous improvement initiatives, and other sustainability‑related projects in support of business objectives.
What will you bring to Ansell?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Job Experience:
- Up to 5 years of relevant professional experience in a technical, analytical, or sustainability‑related role, such as product environmental analysis, product carbon footprint support, sustainable product development, or environmental data analysis.
- Early‑career profiles and recent graduates with relevant academic exposure are encouraged to apply.
Technical competencies:
- Introductory to intermediate level technical knowledge in product environmental impact analysis and product carbon footprint concepts.
- Familiarity with standards related to product environmental assessments and carbon footprinting, including ISO 14067, ISO 14040, and ISO 14044, particularly from a data, documentation, and evidence perspective.
- Basic understanding of environmental assessment tools and databases (e.g. SimaPro, GaBi, Ecoinvent).
- Hands‑on experience working with quantitative environmental or sustainability‑related datasets.
- Strong interest and motivation to address environmental challenges associated with product materials and manufacturing processes.
- Good work organization and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple tasks in parallel.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to travel locally and abroad within short notice.
