Inventory Controller, Team Lead
Location: Wisma Academy / Uptown 2
Working Hours: 9am - 6pm
Working Days: 5 days in a week
Salary Range: RM 4000 - RM 5000
Responsibilities
1. Team Management
- Responsible for daily team management, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure team achieves KPIs such as inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, return completion rate and others.
- Provide training and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Ensure accurate stock management and inventory control.
- Manage stock return in compliance with HQ standard process.
3. Inventory Management
- Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and monitor stock control systems to optimize inventory levels.
- Control inventory levels to minimize dead stock and shortages.
4. Order Fulfillment
- Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of orders.
- Coordinate with internal and transport teams to meet delivery deadlines.
- Address and resolve issues related to order processing or shipping.
5. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare inventory, stock movement, and delivery reports as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding documentation.
6. Data Analysis and Process Improvement
- Analyse inventory, consumption, and supply data.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports with actionable insights.
- Identify areas for operational improvements and implement best practices.
- Optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency in the warehouse.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes.
7. Budget Management
- Assist in planning and managing warehouse & logistics budgets.
- Monitor expenses and ensure operations are within budget.
- Ensure timely submission of supplier payments.
8. Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in spare parts or warehouse management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory and warehouse management processes.
- Ability to control stock levels, including shortages and dead stock.
- Familiar with spare parts ordering and supply processes.
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Strong problem-solving mindset with continuous improvement focus.
- Execution-driven and results-oriented.
- Experience in repair/service industry (mobile/electronics) is a plus.
- Experience managing multiple warehouses or regions preferred.
- Well spoken & writing in English, Bahasa Malaysia and excellent Mandarin fluency is an added advantage.
