Position : Contract Engineer

Location: Q Sentral, 2A, Jalan Stesen Sentral 2, Kuala Lumpur Sentral, 50470 Kuala Lumpur

Industry: Upstream Oil and Gas and Support Activities for Mining industries

Contract: 12 - 12 months via PERSOL

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full contract lifecycle from tendering to contract close-out
• Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer contracts and service agreements
• Lead RFQ/RFP/ITT processes, commercial evaluations, and bid analysis
• Conduct supplier negotiations and support strategic sourcing initiatives
• Monitor vendor performance, contract compliance, and commercial risks
• Support offshore drilling and jack-up rig operational procurement requirements
• Drive cost optimization, savings initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, or related disciplines
• 3–5 years of experience in contracts, procurement, sourcing, or commercial functions within the Oil & Gas industry
• Experience in upstream operations, offshore drilling, or jack-up rig environments is highly preferred
• Strong tendering, commercial evaluation, and contract administration experience
• Familiarity with drilling service contracts, OEM agreements, SLAs, and Incoterms
• Knowledge of Microsoft D365, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems is an advantage
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience supporting offshore drilling contractors or jack-up rig operations
• Proven track record in managing tenders and commercial negotiations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple contracts simultaneously
