Job Description

  • Participate in pre-sales activities including bidding, solution design, and contract negotiation to ensure delivery feasibility.
  • Manage project execution aligned with defined scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring project objectives and milestones are achieved.
  • Drive project profitability through effective cost, change, and resource management.
  • Establish governance frameworks and reporting structures for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and consultants throughout project delivery.
  • Build team capability through mentoring, coaching, and structured knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Oversee data center facility systems including electrical, cooling, security, fire protection, and building management systems.
  • Travel across Asia Pacific to manage project delivery, with assignments typically ranging from 1 to 2 years.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in data center or MEP construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of data center facility systems (electrical, cooling, BMS, fire protection, security).
  • Proven track record in managing large project teams (20-30 members) and coordinating with main contractors.
  • Strong project management expertise across scope, cost, schedule, procurement, and quality management.
  • Familiarity with Malaysia's local construction regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, and MS Office suite.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region (e.g. Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia).
