This person is someone we can count on to...

Be passionate about quality and the user's experience. As the guardian of the software's quality your attention to detail and creativity in finding bugs are key to ensuring a polished user experience. We are a web-based platform only.

In the beginning you'll be manually testing & identifying bugs in our test environment, and collaborating with our developers to ensure they get fixed. Eventually you'll be expected to develop automated tests.

Empathy & user focus will be useful, as we're a consumer facing platform. The ability to understand how users might interact with the software and anticipate potential issues can be a valuable asset. You'll not only be squashing bugs, but be expected to raise the quality of the software.

More importantly, you'll be curious and want to learn more. As a small team you'll be given the opportunity to work across multiple products and learn new software.

Within 1 month, you'll be...

• Directly involved in our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Doing manual functional testing
  • Collaborating with developers to identify and fix bugs by writing bug reports
• Organizing documentation and setting up a system the way you like it

Within 3 months, you'll be...

• Expanding your responsibilities and learning new skills & software
  • API testing (including security API testing)
  • Test automation (developing test scripts)
• Collaborating with PMs and working on test cases for each feature

Within 6 months, you'll be...

• Proactively identifying potential issues and suggest improvements, as you become more familiar with the domain and system. Improving software quality by identifying missing use cases
• Owning, designing and executing comprehensive test plans
  
• Championing best practices in software testing, updating our processes

Requirements for this role

• 1-3 year work experience as a software tester, QA engineer or similar. Fresh grads with internship experience also accepted. Preferably in a startup (formal education not required).
• Knowledge of any testing frameworks or software (functional or automated testing)
• Proven experience in delivering results and highly organized
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Keep updated with latest techniques, technologies and browser features
