Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Operation Planner is responsible for coordinating daily transportation operations, planning truck and driver allocations, monitoring delivery activities, and ensuring smooth execution of logistics services. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate trucks and drivers based on customer orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Coordinate and assign orders to the appropriate trucks while optimizing routes and driver schedules.
  • Monitor and track vehicle movements, loading, and unloading activities to minimize delays and address operational issues promptly.
  • Liaise closely with workshop personnel to monitor truck and tanker maintenance or repair progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Schedule and monitor truck and tanker inspections with PUSPAKOM to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Perform daily operational tasks and maintain accurate records and documentation, including Sales Orders (SO), Delivery Orders (DO), and other operational reports.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Department on invoicing matters and commission payments.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit operational and performance reports as required by management.
  • Respond to customer enquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Perform any other duties and ad hoc assignments as directed by the superior from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years of working experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • Fresh graduates with strong interest in logistics operations are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
