Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Accountant to join our growing team. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting compliance and reporting requirements. Experience in the F&B or retail industry is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, and GL
  • Process invoices, payments, and staff expense claims accurately and on time
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
  • Track cost of goods sold (COGS) and gross margin per product category
  • Reconcile POS system reports against daily cash and card collections
  • Support monthly F&B cost analysis reports for management review
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist with GST filing and ensure timely submission to IRAS
  • Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
  • Process payroll accurately including CPF contributions and SDL
  • Maintain employee payroll records and issue payslips
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting exercises
  • Handle ad hoc finance-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a similar role
  • Experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail industry preferred
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or SAP)
  • Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
