We are looking for a highly capable Project Engineer to help design and build the core backend systems that support our AI-powered inspection machines.

Role Description
As a Project Engineer at Evlos, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of machine vision system deployments in manufacturing environments. You will coordinate between internal engineering teams, system integrators, vendors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet technical and quality requirements. This role combines technical understanding, site coordination, system integration, and project management skills. You will play a key role in ensuring our AI inspection systems operate reliably in real-world industrial environments.
Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Manage full project lifecycle from planning to final handover
- Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Coordinate internal teams (AI, software, hardware) to meet project goals
- Track project progress and proactively manage risks
- Ensure timely project completion within agreed scope
2. System Integration & Deployment
- Oversee installation and commissioning of machine vision systems
- Coordinate hardware setup including cameras, lighting, industrial PCs, and sensors
- Work closely with system integrators and factory teams during deployment
- Support system testing, validation, and performance verification
- nsure smooth integration with existing production lines
3. Client & Vendor Coordination
- Serve as primary technical liaison with customers during project execution
- Gather and clarify technical requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for required components
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders
4. Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and SOPs
- Maintain proper system configuration records and deployment logs
- Support preparation of user manuals and training materials
- Ensure traceability of system configurations and updates
5. Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues
- Work closely with backend/AI teams to address system-related challenges
- Provide post-deployment technical support when required
- Identify improvement opportunities for future deployment
6. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure projects meet industrial safety standards
- Maintain compliance with client-specific factory requirements
- Ensure quality control during installation and testing phases
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Computer Engineering or related field)
- 3 years of experience in project engineering, system integration, or industrial automation
- Strong understanding of industrial systems and factory environments
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
- Willingness to travel to customer sites when required
- Ability to reason about system failures and edge cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in machine vision or industrial automation projects
- Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, cameras, and industrial networking
- Basic understanding of software systems and system architecture
- Experience working in manufacturing environments
- Exposure to AI-based systems or inspection platforms
