Senior Structural Designer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or Jakarta, Indonesia

Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Designer to support a major offshore oil and gas development project. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality structural design deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and produce structural design drawings and 3D models for offshore facilities.
• Prepare detailed structural layouts, fabrication drawings, and construction deliverables.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Review and update design documentation in accordance with project requirements.
• Support model reviews, clash resolution activities, and design optimisation.
• Ensure all design activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and project meetings as required.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers when necessary.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in structural design within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong offshore platform design experience preferred.
• Proficiency with industry-standard 3D design software such as Smart 3D, PDMS, E3D, Tekla, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with international design codes and standards.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
