Responsibilities

Monthly Salary Range (SGD): $3,000 - 5,500


About the Role

We are partnering with an established precision engineering and contract manufacturing company to hire a Sales Engineer. This role is ideal for candidates with a technical engineering background who enjoy building customer relationships, driving business growth, and working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams.


You will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts while developing new business opportunities within the machining and contract manufacturing industry.



Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and grow assigned customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets through proactive customer engagement and business development.
  • Prepare quotations and actively follow up to secure purchase orders.
  • Develop strategic relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and other internal departments on customer enquiries and RFQs.
  • Review order fulfilment and support smooth sales operations.
  • Monitor customer forecasts, pricing, and order schedules.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to review project status and resolve commercial issues.
  • Understand customer drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and manufacturing requirements.
  • Recommend suitable manufacturing solutions based on customer applications.
  • Promote the company's machining and contract manufacturing capabilities to generate new business.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive support and relationship management.



Requirements


  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, Business Development, or Account Management within manufacturing.
  • Experience in precision engineering, machining, CNC machining, metal fabrication, contract manufacturing, or related industries is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable working with engineering drawings, BOMs, quotations, and RFQs.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Willing to support customers across different time zones when required.
