Merchant Risk Operations

Location: KL Malaysia

The Role:

Ability in safeguarding the financial ecosystem by managing fraud, credit risk, and brand exposure during merchant onboarding and transaction lifecycles. It bridges sales, compliance, and product teams to prevent financial loss while meeting regulatory standards

- Work alongside merchants to resolve dispute trends, investigate chargeback escalations, and develop risk-mitigation plans

- Continuously monitor merchant activity to mitigate fraudulent behaviours

- Counterparty credit reviews for banks and other non bank financial institutions

- Maintaining and updating the counterparty credit register

- Monitoring counterparty news developments and building out AI based tools to provide semi automated monitoring

- Working closely with our data analytics team to build our counterparty monitoring dashboards

This role focused on counterparty credit risk, within financial sector, ideally on FI coverage experience

* Collection experience a must from banking industry or tiktok/ ant group company preferred

Similar to Credit risk position but there are merchant monitoring involved with knowledge of KYC needed

1 -year contract ,renewable based on performance year by year
