Dexian Hiring! Full Time Data Center Engineer in Johor - Ricebowl

We are hiring for multiple HC's for Data Center L1 Engineer on a 12-month contract (extendable) to support our project with a global MNC client in JB and KL.

The Role: As a Data Center L1 Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day data center operations across server, network, and facility environments. The role includes server installation and maintenance, hardware replacement, incident troubleshooting, system recovery, network device deployment, and structured cabling activities. You will also be involved in asset and inventory management, maintaining documentation, supporting virtual infrastructure requests, performing OS-level diagnostics, and coordinating with data center operators, carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders. This is a hands-on role that requires working closely with operational teams to ensure the smooth running of critical infrastructure while supporting maintenance activities, equipment patrols, failure drills, facility checks, and project implementation work.

The Ideal Candidate: Will possess at least a Diploma in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with hands-on experience in data center operations and exposure to server hardware, network equipment, and facility environments. You should be comfortable working independently, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure, and capable of delivering day-to-day operational tasks with minimal supervision. Experience with server troubleshooting, hardware replacement, asset management, structured cabling, operating systems, networking fundamentals, and virtual infrastructure support will be highly valued. We are looking for someone who is a fast learner, enjoys solving technical problems, communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and is willing to pick up new technologies and processes. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage due to regional coverage requirements.
