Job description:
Assistant Manager, Warehouse
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Assistant Manager, Warehouse to support the overall warehouse operations and ensure smooth execution of inventory, staff coordination, and stock delivery activities. This role supports the Warehouse Manager in maintaining operational efficiency, compliance, and accurate stock management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and oversee warehouse operations including staff briefing, task allocation, ordering, stock control, and delivery to outlets.
- Monitor and administer inventory activities including stock counts, reconciliation, stocktake, and reporting.
- Review warehouse performance and KPIs with superior and support improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and submit operational, stock, and departmental reports.
- Supervise warehouse staff, including attendance, overtime, claims checking, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of stocks to outlets.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, health, and safety standards (HACCP, GMP, OSH).
- Monitor warehouse manpower, process flow, equipment condition, layout, and housekeeping standards.
- Support stock forecasting, power planning, and budget planning (CAPEX & OPEX).
- Support implementation and use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Operate and supervise safe use of forklifts and reach trucks when required.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth warehouse coordination.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in F&B or food manufacturing industry is preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work shifts and long hours when required.
- Able to operate Reach Truck / Forklift is an advantage.
