Responsibilities
Student Support Specialist
$50–$80/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Primary School Environment
12-Month Contract (3 Aug 2026 – 31 Jul 2027)
Option to Extend
Recognised Postgraduate Qualification or Master's Degree in Counselling
Minimum 3 years of counselling experience (school or youth setting preferred)
Strong communication, collaboration and case management skills
Experience in group interventions and supporting students with additional needs is an advantage
Able to apply restorative and strengths-based approaches
Provide individual counselling and coaching for students
Conduct group programmes on social skills, emotional well-being, cyber wellness, motivation and peer relationships
Support student behaviour management and restorative practices
Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies
Facilitate workshops and sharing sessions for staff and parents
Support student well-being, Character & Citizenship Education (CCE) and Education & Career Guidance (ECG) initiatives
Monday–Friday (25 hours/week)
• 3 weekdays: 8:00am–2:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• 2 weekdays: 10:30am–4:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
