Job Description

Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with a leading global technology manufacturer to hire a Procurement Engineer. This role will drive strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization initiatives for advanced capital equipment products. Working closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams, you will support NPI programs, supplier negotiations, and value engineering initiatives to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives across the product lifecycle.

  • Work location: Northeast
  • Work hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5.30pm
  • Salary: up to $10,500 + AWS + VB

The Job:

  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for capital equipment and engineered components, supporting new product development and business growth.
  • Drive cost reduction, value engineering (VAVE), and productivity improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Manage supplier selection, RFQ processes, commercial negotiations, and contract terms to optimize supply chain performance and mitigate risks.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs through supplier engagement, cost analysis, make-versus-buy evaluations, and engineering change management.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies while building strong supplier partnerships to ensure supply continuity, innovation, and long-term competitiveness.


The Talent:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost optimization within capital equipment, semiconductor, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong ability to interpret BOM structures, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and engineering change processes.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and driving measurable cost-saving initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
