Role Overview
We are looking for an M&E Project Engineer to lead end-to-end delivery of building services
projects (Mechanical & Electrical), manage subcontractors and in-house technicians, and
support business development activities such as tendering, proposals and client engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, execute and deliver M&E projects from kickoff to handover, including scheduling,
manpower planning and coordination with consultants/main contractor/client.
- Manage and supervise subcontractors and in-house technicians; assign tasks, monitor
progress, and ensure workmanship meets specifications and standards.
- Oversee site coordination, installation works, testing & commissioning (T&C),
troubleshooting and rectification.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, drawings, method statements, and relevant
codes/standards; conduct inspections and implement QA/QC checks.
- Manage project costs and variations: track progress claims, assist with VO submissions,
and control material usage to meet budget targets.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation: RFIs, shop drawings coordination,
daily/weekly reports, inspection records, test results, O&M manuals, and as-built
documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for procurement, deliveries, and technical submissions;
ensure timely availability of materials/equipment.
- Drive site safety and housekeeping; ensure compliance with WSH requirements and
company safety procedures.
- Attend progress meetings, communicate project status and resolve issues promptly with
stakeholders.
- Support business development: assist in site surveys, tender clarifications,
costing/estimation support, proposal preparation, and client presentations as required.
- Identify opportunities for upselling/renewal/maintenance works and support relationship
management with existing and new clients.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services,
Facilities Management, or related discipline.
- At least 2–3 years of relevant M&E project experience; able to manage projects
independently.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating in-house
technicians/manpower.
- Good knowledge of M&E systems (e.g., ACMV, plumbing & sanitary, electrical/power,
ELV) and common testing & commissioning practices.
- Basic understanding of cost control, progress claims, variations and project
documentation.
- Exposure to business development activities such as tender support, quotations, client
meetings and proposal preparation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office; ability to read drawings and coordinate shop
drawings/submissions.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work under tight timelines.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Experience in Singapore building projects (commercial, industrial, residential, A&A works).
- Relevant certifications such as WSH-related qualifications (e.g., WSQ), or experience
working with permit-to-work systems.
- Valid Class 2 or 3 driving licence.
- Experience in maintenance/term contract works and client account management
